Cancellation policy

Deposits and part payments

Some pieces, such as custom oil paintings, are bought by paying a deposit at checkout, with the remaining balance paid later. This policy explains how cancellations work for those orders. All other orders follow the Refund Policy.

Cancelling a deposit order

You can cancel within 24 hours of placing your order by emailing hello@nimashaperera.com, and your deposit will be refunded in full.

After that, you can still cancel until I begin work on your painting. Once the painting has started, the deposit is non-refundable, because it covers the materials and time already put into your piece.

The remaining balance

When your painting is finished and ready to ship, I'll send you an invoice for the remaining balance together with the shipping cost. Your painting ships once the invoice is paid.

If the balance isn't paid within 14 days of the invoice, I may cancel the order, and the deposit will not be refunded.

If I have to cancel

If for any reason I'm unable to complete your painting, I'll let you know as soon as possible and refund everything you've paid.
