Returns and refunds

Nimasha's Art is operated by Nimasha's Art (Pvt) Ltd, a company registered in Sri Lanka (Reg. No. PV 00374014). Every original piece is made by hand, one at a time, so this policy is written with that in mind. If you have any questions before buying, I'm always happy to help at hello@nimashaperera.com.

Original paintings and commissions

Original paintings, original illustrations and commissioned work are non-returnable, as each is a one-of-a-kind or made-to-order piece. If you'd like more photos, a video, or detail shots before you decide, just email me and I'll send them.

Prints (made to order)

Art prints are produced individually for each order through my print partner, so they can't be returned for a change of mind, the wrong size, or a mistake at checkout.

If your print arrives damaged, misprinted, or you receive the wrong item, I'll make it right. Email me within 30 days of delivery with photos of the print and the packaging, and I'll send a free replacement.

Damaged or incorrect original artwork

Your painting is carefully packed to travel safely, but if it arrives damaged or isn't the piece you ordered, please email me within 7 days of delivery with clear photos of the artwork, the box and the packaging.

Please keep all of the original packaging until the issue is resolved, as the courier may need it to process a claim. I'll then work with you to make it right, whether that's a repair, a replacement or a refund.

Customers in the EU and UK

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. This doesn't apply to commissioned or made-to-order work, including prints.

To cancel, email me within the 14 days so we can arrange the return. The artwork must come back unused, in its original packaging, and securely packed. Return shipping and insurance are your responsibility, and the piece remains your responsibility until it reaches me.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel an order within 24 hours of placing it by emailing me, and you'll receive a full refund. After 24 hours your artwork may already be packed or in production, so I can't guarantee a cancellation, but please get in touch and I'll do what I can.

Commissioned work can be cancelled until I begin work on it. Once the painting has started, the deposit is non-refundable.

Refunds

Once an approved return reaches me and I've checked it, I'll let you know and refund you to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or payment provider may take a few extra days to show the refund.

Import duties and taxes

Import duties, taxes and customs fees charged by your country are paid to your courier or customs, not to me, so I'm unable to refund them. Original artwork is often duty-free, but import VAT or other local taxes may still apply.
