Returns & Refunds
Every piece I sell is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork, hand-painted and made to last. Because of that, I want you to buy with confidence, so here's exactly how returns and refunds work.
Original paintings and commissions
Original paintings, original illustrations, and commissioned work are non-returnable, as each is a unique, made-to-order or one-of-a-kind piece. I know buying art online is a leap of faith, so if you have any questions about a painting before you order, its true colours, size, texture, or anything else, please reach out at hello@nimashaperera.com. I'm always happy to send extra photos or a short video so you can buy with confidence.
Prints (made to order)
Art prints are produced individually just for you through my print partner, so I'm unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, wrong size, or incorrect choice at checkout. Please double-check your selection and size before ordering, and feel free to reach out at hello@nimashaperera.com if you'd like help choosing.
If your print arrives damaged, misprinted, or you receive the wrong item, I'll absolutely make it right. Contact me within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the issue, and I'll arrange a free replacement.
Damaged or incorrect items (original artwork)
Your painting is carefully packed to travel safely, but if it arrives damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, please contact me within 7 days of delivery at hello@nimashaperera.com. Include a few photos of the artwork and the packaging, and I'll work with you to make it right, whether that's a repair, replacement, or refund. Please keep all original packaging until the issue is resolved, as the courier may need it to process a claim.
European Union: 14-day cooling-off period
If your order is shipped to the European Union, you have the legal right to cancel or return it within 14 days of delivery, for any reason. The artwork must be returned unused and in its original packaging, and return shipping is arranged with me first. Once it's back with me and inspected, I'll issue your refund.
Refunds
Once an approved return is received and inspected, I'll let you know and issue your refund to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card provider may take a little longer to post it. If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you haven't received it, please contact me at hello@nimashaperera.com.
Import duties
Please note that any import duties or taxes already paid on an international order are set by your local customs authority and generally can't be refunded by me. This is rare for original art, which is duty-free in most countries, but worth knowing.
